SIXIN Oil & Gas Demulsifier Bases Series brings together seven targeted chemistries in one suite: High‑RSN oxyalkylated resins for powerful dehydration and sharp water drop (with caution in heavy crudes); Low‑RSN oxyalkylated resins for even better wetting and cleaner dehydration; Esters & high‑molecular‑weight polymers for slow water drop paired with rapid oil brightening and high oil recovery; Polyols as versatile coalescers that lower interfacial tension and aid droplet merging; Resin‑ester complexes as low‑dose polishers that gently break emulsion structure; Sulfonates for overtreat‑resistant performance in dense crudes with moderate wetting; and Wetting agents to strip interface solids and boost other bases (while avoiding overuse). Together, they enable fully custom demulsifier blends optimized for dehydration rate, oil recovery, water quality and dosage efficiency across any crude profile.

    High RSN oxyalkylated resins

    Good dehydration of the oil, good water drop, prone to overtreat in high gravity crudes. Higher afinity with water phase, aiding in emulsion destabilization. 

    Low RSN oxyalkylated resins

    Good wetting properties, good water drop, generally more effective dehydration than high RSN resins. Efficient dewatering and cleaner top oil. 

    Esters and high molecular weight polymers

    Slow water drop, fast brightening, prone to sludging and overtreat. High oil recovery due to higher interfacial activity, higher dispersibility, and the presence of sensitive functional groups

    Polyols

    Broad demulsifier base used for wetting properties and good water quality, generally do not perform well as single component demulsifiers. Reduces interfacial tension and facilitates coalescense of water droplets.

    Resin Ester Complex

    Slow water drop, good polisher, effective at low concentrations in blends. Acts destabilizing the structures of the emulsion. 

    Sulfonates

    Not prone to overtreat, especially on high gravity crude, fair wetting properties, fair general treating of oil, generally hurts water quality, require high treating rates.

    Wetting Agents

    Help remove solids from interface which can stabilize emulsion, tend to overtreat/carry water if too much is used. Use is highly over rated, if the proper EB intermediates are formulated surfactants are not necessary. If used, usually to overcome an EB deficiency. Reduces the surface tension between phases and helps with the penetration of other basis for the demulsifier.
