Hydrophobic Silica

 General Properties: Fumed or precipitated silica treated with siloxanes; extremely fine, free-flowing, water-repellent white powder.

 Synergistic Role: When dispersed in a defoamer carrier fluid, hydrophobic silica creates a rough, highly hydrophobic surface. This particle enters the foam lamella, disrupts the surfactant film locally, and causes rapid bubble rupture, even in highly viscous shampoos or heavy-duty cleaners.
