Dispersants
FEATURES
General Properties: Anionic polymers, lignosulfonates, or naphthalene sulfonates; typically dark brown liquids or powders.
Synergistic Role: Dispersants stabilize both dye particles and foam bubbles. The defoamer must selectively rupture the foam lamella without neutralizing the electrostatic or steric repulsion that keeps the dye particles dispersed.
Performance Benefits:
Prevents Dye Agglomeration: Breaks foam without causing the disperse dye to clump or precipitate.
Eliminates Tar Spots: Stops foam from carrying concentrated dye aggregates to the fabric surface, preventing dark spots.
Keeps Machines Clean: Prevents foam-borne dye from depositing on machine walls, rollers, and filters.
